HOW YOU CAN HELP

"Here at Open Hands Education Trust we love the idea that those who donate to the Trust can choose what area of need they want their donation to support. Below are a list of options that donations can be directed towards. On the other hand, it is also very helpful to just send a general donation, which can be used where the need is greatest at the time"

Donate towards Buying Land and Building a New School/Medical Clinic

Donate to Build a School and A Free Medical Clinic

Donate to purchase land and build a school and community support services building in the village. Currently the Open Hands Education Trust's programs, including the school and women's programs, are being held in a building which is borrowed from a generous community member on a temporary basis.

Having a purpose-built building would allow for expanded educational programs such as increasing the number of students who can attend classes, providing a school library and computer lab, increasing the options for job-training skills for women and older girls, and offering free Basic English classes for adult villagers, so that their job opportunities can improve. (Jobs are available the tourist industry in Bodhgaya, a nearby larger town - but English is required.)
